  • Mild bleeding from gums when brushing or flossing.
Stage 2:

If stage 1 symptoms are ignored, your periodontitis may progress resulting in:

  • Teeth becoming loose.
  • Throbbing or tightness in your gums.
  • Severe bleeding from gums when brushing.
  • Bad breath.
Stage 3:

This stage is recognised as advanced periodontitis. It is important that you receive treatment as soon as possible to prevent loss of teeth. Symptoms include:

  • Severe pain from teeth and gums.
  • Teeth that are very loose.
  • Blood or pus extruding from your gums.
