Each veneer is custom-made to fit the individual tooth based on clinical records taken by the treating dentist. The aim is to produce a result that is proportionate to the patient’s dentition and facial anatomy.

What Concerns May Veneers Be Used to Address?

Veneers are generally considered for the following types of aesthetic concerns:

Patients should be clearly aware that porcelain veneer placement involves the permanent and irreversible removal of a small amount of tooth enamel from the front surface of each tooth to be treated. Once this preparation has been carried out, the tooth will require a veneer or similar restoration for the remainder of the patient’s life. The Porcelain Veneer Application Process

Stage One: Consultation and Clinical Assessment

The process begins with a comprehensive clinical examination, which may include X-rays, dental photographs, and in some cases digital smile planning. Stage Four: Fitting and Bonding

When the permanent veneers are ready, they are trialled on the teeth to assess fit, shade, and contour before any adhesive is applied. Adjustments may be made at this stage. Once both the dentist and patient are satisfied, the veneers are permanently bonded in place using a light-activated dental adhesive and the bite is carefully checked. What Are the Risks and Limitations?

These may include sensitivity of the prepared teeth, the possibility that veneers may chip, fracture, or debond over time, and the fact that the colour cannot be changed once the veneers are placed.
