Treatment Day
On your first visit, you will see the doctor for an initial consultation and skin analysis, where they will go over your concerns, clarify your treatment goals, and ask a few questions about your health history, including medications and past facial treatments/surgeries. A very small needle will be used to inject the relaxers into your muscles or the filler material into the area to be treated. 20-30 minutes later, the process will be done and you’ll be on your way home.
Note: In some cases, the doctor may numb the area to be treated before injecting the dermal/lip filler material.
Post-Treatment Care
Wrinkle Relaxers: To help your body adjust to your relaxers, we ask that you avoid exercise or extreme activity for 24 hours following your procedure. It’s also important that you avoid lying down for the first four hours after your injections, and do not rub or scratch injection sites. Within a few days to a week, you’ll see the full effects of the treatment in smoother, younger skin.
Dermal / Lip Fillers: Generally, you can return to normal activities immediately following treatment. Afterward, you may experience a little swelling, redness or tenderness – this is normal, and usually resolves on its own within days if not hours. If you bruise easily, you may experience a small amount of bruising at the injection site. Don’t worry, the bruises will fade within a week or two. Within two weeks, you’ll start to see your results.
