Dental implants are usually the best option to replace a missing tooth or multiple missing teeth. They flawlessly blend in with your surrounding teeth and function as a natural tooth would.
Dental implants look (and feel) just like your natural teeth and with care can last for decades making them a seamless alternative to options like dentures or dental bridges.
Odin Dental implants give you a healthy, comfortable, confident smile that lasts.
There are a number of reasons why someone can lose a tooth such as trauma (an accidental knock), poor gum health and infection at the end of the tooth. Extraction of teeth without replacing them can lead to difficulty in cleaning, bite problems and bone loss that predispose to further tooth loss.
Dental implants do not need to be removed for cleaning and like natural teeth they are cleaned effectively with brushing and flossing. Over time the implant fuses to the jaw bone and even you will forget that you ever had a missing tooth!
After administering local anesthesia, the implant will be carefully inserted into the bone. The gums will be sewn above the implant site and you will be left to heal for about two or three months (depending on the site of the implant). At the three month mark, a test will be done on the dental implant to ensure it has fused to the bone. A small contoured healing cap will then be attached to the implant to connect it to surface of the gums and help shape the gums and receive the final crown.
The doctor will unscrew the healing cap and screw in an impression coping, which is specifically made for your implant. An x-ray and putty impression will be taken to ensure proper fit. Photos will be taken of the teeth for the dental ceramist to create a life-like implant crown that no one will detect. The healing cap will be replaced and your next visit will be in two weeks for the final insertion of your crown.
The final visit will be just as easy as the previous one. The healing cap will be removed, a disinfecting solution will be applied to the implant to rid any bacteria, and the permanent custom abutment will then be tried along with the implant crown. Dental x-rays will be taken to ensure a quality fit and that no micro-gaps are noted between the interface of the abutment and implant. Implant crowns can be made in two ways; there are those that are screw retained, and those that are cement retained. We will choose the best fit for your case.

Usually as many as we need to given we have the adequate amount of bone and gum to place the implants.
Short answer is yes in most cases. Implants are artificial teeth made to resemble natural teeth therefore there will always be certain aspects of implants that will feel a “little different”.
When a tooth is extracted and not replaced, you will lose a significant amount of jaw bone in that region. Placing an implant to replace the missing tooth can significantly reduce this bone loss.
Dental implants are very successful and feels and functions very much like a natural tooth. Most people report that dentures are a bit uncomfortable and inconvenient. A bridge relies on the health of the neighbouring teeth to support the missing tooth whereas the success of an implant is independant of the health of the neighbouring teeth
Health insurance with extras (dental included) will generally cover dental implants up to the annual limit.
